My name is Kristi and I am the proud owner and blogger for Frugally Thrifty! Frugally Thrifty is formally known as Texas Couponers Anonymous and has since made a lot of changes.
First off, that would be me with my 2 amazing boys, Caleb (age 9) and Cory (age 6). I am a stay-at-home mom to these wonderful boys. Before that, I worked for a local printing company. I have also worked as an administrative assistant for a CPA firm, and also in AP/AR for a shipping company. All of the jobs that I have had have been a blast, but daycare expenses ultimately made the big decision for me to become a stay-at-home mom.
Now, let me tell you all about my journey to becoming a couponer. In mid-October 2008, I started couponing for no reason at all (I won’t lie). I guess it just found me! The economy was doing okay at the time (at least I thought it was) and we were doing okay with our financial situation. We didn’t need to save money with coupons. But after learning how to coupon efficiently, I have not looked back for even one second. At the time, I was thinking that it would be really neat to save a ton of money and get more bang for my buck! So, as I embarked on my new journey, my oldest son came up with his own slogan for our family “Save more, live better mommy!”
The journey began with tons of research all over the internet (tons of blogs) on how to use my coupons effectively. I even attended a coupon class in my area. It was so worth it! My family has gone from spending around $400-$500 a month on groceries to a mere $200-$250 (and this feeds my family of 4, 3 cats, 4 dogs, and even gets us all our cleaning & personal care items). We almost have the zoo with all of our animals!
If you are interested in learning how to save so much each year, then you definitely want to stick around or even sign up for my emails so you don’t miss out on anything. Just think in time, you could be FRUGALLY THRIFTY like me!
